Uber and Lyft are readily available from all these locations. If staying for lunch on the last day, plan for return flights no earlier than 4pm if flying from Orlando, Jacksonville or Tampa airports.

Why this retreat center? I've chosen Gainesville Retreat Center for its light-filled and modern meditation hall; comfort in all seasons (heat and AC in all rooms); high quality fresh organic food with vegetarian, vegan, dairy-free and gluten-free options at all meals; beautiful, natural setting with miles of hiking trails on the property; dedication to silent meditation retreats; and affordable cost. We'll be the only group on-site. Everything about the center and the teaching will support your retreat and self-care. Plus--winter in sunny Florida!
Please note however that while the retreat center is a comfortable Mom and Pop facility, it is not a spa nor is it 5-star. Spa amenities like massage therapy are not available nor is there a large staff. There is only one cook. Any cleaning that takes place during the retreat will be by us. Please make any special requirements or requests known well in advance so we can best advise you on how much they can be accomodated. If you need to eat a very special diet that can't be accomodated by vegetarian, vegan, dairy free or gluten-free options, you may need to bring some of your own food and refridgeration will be supplied. Attendees will need to take responsibility for last minute requests or bring what they need (such as the need for a particular tea, hand soap or lotion).
Note: These silent retreats are *not* appropriate for those in a current mental health crisis, those with unresolved trauma or with serious untreated or unregulated mental health conditions. It is an excellent option for serious mindfulness and/or self-compassion practitioners; those with previous silent retreat experience; MBSR or MSC graduates; or those in a mindfulness or self-compassion teaching training track. Please contact Trish if you are not sure whether this retreat is right for you at this time.
This silent teacher-led retreat satisfies the retreat requirement for MBSR, MSC and MMTCP teacher training.
